The Irish Embassy in Malawi have placed an order with Chanasa for 150 fabric tote bags and 150 fabric face coverings. The bags have a pocket which is printed and the face covering embroidered with the Republic of Ireland branding. They are to be used to help celebrate St Patricks Day on March 17. The sewing groups in Malawi only had a short period of time in which to sew the products which they have done well and the pictures show the products and Gerida (intern) delivering the first 50 of each to Marie-Clare in the Irish Embassy in Lilongwe. This is a 4 hour coach journey each way from Blantyre. The pictures also show the bags and the masks and the products being checked by the group leaders.
