We reach out to women in Malawi who are experiencing financial hardship for themselves and their families.
Sustainable fashion, accessories, and household products are made and sold with women receiving fair payments and training in tailoring.
Profits are used to fund Higher and Technical Education for girls and women.
With partnerships and Women's Enterprise to bring educational and economic empowerment to girls and women in Malawi.
Through selling Chanasa products, creating new products, leading workshops, sharing skills, raising funds and by making visits.
Chanasa now has a new group of women who sew in a room at Limbe Cathedral. There are 7 ladies and the group leader is Yamikana.
The first 250 bags for a conference to be held in June 2019 at Edinburgh University have been completed. The women in Malawi worked hard to get them finished before Christmas. Now they have started work on the next 250.
The Chanasa Ladies in Malawi have an order for at least 1000 tote bags from Edinburgh University for a conference in June 2019.

Chifundo UK and Chanasa Malawi have joined forces with Gift of the Givers, a large relief NGO based in Blantyre Malawi, to provide information about Menstrual Hygiene and to give school girls in rural areas and needy urban suburbs Lotus Packs so that they can have a positive experience of menstruation and not have to miss school each month.
This project is supported by US Aid.

Susan has arrived safely in Lilongwe although her last flight was rather delayed.
She had a good meeting with Mary (Chanasa chair).
A huge Thank You from Chifundo to the Chester Deo Gratais Choir for their donation of £700 from their recent concerts at All Saints in Hool
A very successful evening. Eleven (11) ladies modelled and over sixty (60) people attended. £428 was raised for our work in Malawi. A brilliant result! T
