Fairtrade Fortnight is from 25 February to10 March 2019.

Fairtrade Fortnight is the two weeks each year when thousands of individuals, companies and groups across the UK come together to celebrate the people who grow our food, people who live in some of the poorest countries in the world and who are often exploited and badly paid.

In Chester, Chifundo have joined with And Albert and Chester Fairtrade group to run a stall in Chester Market.

On 2 March the organisers wrote: "Huge thanks to all those who helped this week. We are half way through Fairtrade Fortnight and I think the stall has been successful in spreading the word! We have had lots of people stop and have a look and combined sales for And Albert, Chifundo and Chester Fair Trading have amounted to £460!!!"

Foodie Friday was great last night and today, Saturday has been the busiest day where I have been able to give lots of material to a teacher from Brookdale Primary on the Wirral, a Teaching Assistant from Liverpool and a local Brownie Leader so really pleased have met some key multipliers!!!

Chris Matheson MP visited today at 10.00am and we also had a visit from Cllr Sam Dixon.
